Add

When the Design Window is open, the following options are available for selection on the Shape tab, in the Add group:

Note that for most tools, left-click selects a shape or performs the action (step forwards), right-click will confirm any completed action or exit an incomplete one (step backwards) and the Escape key will cancel and exit the tool.

• Click Create Shape to add Points, Lines, Rectangles and Text elements to the Design Window in one action. An active (non-Network) layer must be selected. (Ctrl+D,S)

  

• Click Create Rectangle to add one or more rectangles to the active layer of the Design Window.

  

• Click Create Circle to add one or more circles to the Design Window. An active (non-Network) layer must be selected. (Ctrl + D,C)

  

• Click Insert Point to insert one or more points on a selected shape. (Ctrl+U,H)

  

• Click Insert Points at Intersections to insert a point on lines that intersect. (Ctrl+I,I)

  

• Click Insert Points at Specified Elevation to insert points on a shape at a specified elevation. (Ctrl+M,E)

  

• Click Insert Points by Interpolation to insert points on selected shapes or insert points on the selected segment of a shape, either at a specified segment Distance or by segment Count. (Ctrl + I, R)

  

• Select Create Road to use a set of parametric line segments to create a road.
