Plan the Structure of Your Master Project

Before uploading your local Micromine Origin & Beyond project to Nexus Workspaces, you should decide on your required files for sharing. Checking for updates across thousands of files can be slow, so uploading everything is not always the best approach.

To clarify the purpose of the upload, ask:

  • Is a backup of the whole project required?

  • Are live updates between local shared files and Nexus required?

  • Will multiple users work on the same project together?

If you need a real-time collaboration workflow, link only the individual files that need to be shared: For example, Drillholes, Wireframes, and Block models. In this scenario, you will not need to upload the whole project folder.

The master project you share with your team should be clean, working, and easy to manage, containing only:

  • Files to share and linked using live links

  • Form sets to share

  • Sections to use

Note: If you only need to back up the project, you can upload the whole project folder to Nexus without creating live links via Nexus Workspaces in the Browser.
