Featured Release Highlights

Micromine is pleased to bring you Micromine Origin & Beyond 2026.5, the latest release of its leading exploration and mine design software solution. The 2026.5 release contains many new features, enhancements, and improved functionality, which are detailed within.

Common

  • The Quick Display option has been added for Vizex point, block model, drillhole trace, solid trace, hatch, and graph layers, as well as the Search Ellipsoid. This allows multiple fields to be defined and simplifies switching between them via the new Vizex Display Properties window, removing the need to reopen forms to modify and reload data.

  • The Add Database button has been added to the Import Drillholes tool to support the import of tables and queries from ODBC and MS Access databases.

  • The Concatenate Files tool has been added to enable the appending or concatenating of one or more files at once.

  • Two new navigation shortcuts have been added in the File Editor; CTRL + SHIFT keys can now be used with the UP or DOWN arrow keys to select all cells above or below the selected cell (in the same column) respectively.

  • A number of advanced Line Styles have been added to Vizex to enhance the flexibility of Display options across the application.

Origin

  • The Conditional Simulation tool has been added to support Sequential Gaussian Simulation for generating realisations.

  • The Drillhole Log tool has been redesigned to allow the interactive drag and drop of Vizex layer forms onto a log.

  • The new Recode Selection tool enables interactive assignment of categorical codes based on existing categorical or numerical data. This will significantly streamline preparing data for implicit modelling.

  • The new Collar to Target drillhole planning function allows definition of collar, target, and deviation rate. Deviation rate can also now be specified within the Create Fans planning tool.

  • The Normal Scores Transform tool has been added to support performing normal scores transform on data, as well as creating a transform file that can be used with Conditional Simulation.

  • The Expand DTM tool has been added to enable you to expand a DTM by a specified distance across all a defined Projection plane.

  • The Input Data options for the Solid Trace layer have been simplified to allow the quick configuration of display using the Quick Display Options.

Beyond

  • The Stage List tool has been added to support the building pit design stages. Users can create, manage and store multiple stages within a single database while maintaining consistent dynamic pit design workflow.

  • The Generate Guides tool is a dedicated auto-constraint pit tool that enables automated generation of all constraint types using a guide wireframe as reference.

  • Improvements to the Add Road tool in Pit Design allow haul roads to be placed through highly constrained pits, significantly reducing manual inputs in complex designs.

  • The Auto Generate function in Schedule Definition now supports automatic mapping and generation of all task attributes from the input data. This eliminates the need for task attribute creation, reducing setup effort to zero.

  • The Rotate Ring tool has been added to Ring Design to allow you to edit and rotate a selected ring using interactive handles.
